Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight

Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (often abbreviated JK by fans) is a first person shooter computer game released on October 9, 1997, by LucasArts. This was the first game in the series to include multiplayer capabilities over the Internet or over a LAN. It was also the first computer game to allow players to take control of a Jedi character using both the Force and lightsabers in a multiplayer setting.

Tested by myself on WinXP and working, I cannot however guarantee Vista functionality. You may have to turn off 3D acceleration and play in software mode, because the game may not be compatible with newer graphic cards (like mine ati HD3870). Resolution 1024×768 at 8bpp works best for me, you may have to experiment a bit with settings to find an optimal result. No crack is needed.

Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith

Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith is the expansion pack for the first-person shooter Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. It was released January 31, 1998. One of the most appealing things for fans was the opportunity to play as Mara Jade, one of the most popular Star Wars Expanded Universe characters. The game contains fourteen levels. The story is set in 10 ABY, five years after the events of Jedi Knight.

Mysteries are NOT standalone, you need to have the original game installed. No crack is needed.

MotS UPDATE: Mysteries of the Sith suffer from poor sound quality. It looks like an unintentional mistake on developers’ or publisher’s side – someone forgot to include the higher quality sounds. Fortunately, I have finally managed to obtain higher quality sound pack made by ShadowX years ago, which adresses this issue. Following zip file contains folder “sound”, which needs to be put into your MotS folder (where JKM.exe is). Note that higher quality sounds came mostly from original Dark Forces: Jedi Knight, so sounds specific to MotS are not updated.

UPDATE: I have found a fix adressing the 3D acceleration issue on newer graphic cards. Should work for both ATi and Nvidia. Copy the ddraw.dll file to the folder where the JK.EXE is. Same goes for Mysteries, copy the file into the MotS folder (so when you have Mysteries installed, copy it into both folders). I have tested it with both games and it seems to be working, so give it a try:
