Sabbath’s fourth album seems to get slagged off as a real dissapointment when compared to their first three albums.
I disagree completely.. This is my favourite Sabbath studio album.
With the exception of Changes and FX – I’d have dropped them and gone with the other eight killer tracks – Vol.4 is to me the heaviest album of the Ozzy era..
Maybe I’m prejudiced by the fact that this was the first Sabbath album I ever heard (and subsequently owned) .. but for me, this is as heavy as it gets..
It certainly doesn’t deserve the slagging off it gets in reviews..
