While that album had a glossy synthetic sheen influenced by European futurepop, this time they have returned to their roots for a selection of straight-ahead, hard-rocking tracks about the darker side of love. The band started recording with David Bottrill (Tool, Placebo) but parted company with him after two months and the album was finished by Joe McGrath (Alkaline Trio, Morrissey) andJacknife Lee (REM, Snow Patrol). The single ‘Medicate’ is included.
